10 Weeks to a Better Financial Future

10 Weeks to a Better Financial Future

Four years ago I felt confused and overwhelmed by my family’s changing financial situation. And to be honest, I was a little embarrassed about it.

After all, I had a financial planning background. I read financial books for fun in my spare time. I was a financial guy. This was my thing.

But Casey and I were expecting our first child, I was trying to make sure we were as prepared as possible, and all the new financial responsibilities were taking their toll.

For the most part, because of my financial background I already knew what we needed to handle – life insurance, disability insurance, wills, college savings, adjusting to a single income while also adding new expenses – but it was so much all at once and I felt so much pressure to get it all right that I honestly didn’t feel confident in my ability to do it.

At least not by myself.

What I really wanted was someone or something that would not only tell me exactly what I needed to do, but would walk me step-by-step through the entire process.

And while I did find useful pieces of advice here and there, it was still up to me to put those pieces together myself.

I never found the start-to-finish guidance I was looking for, and because of that it took a long time before I felt confident in the financial direction my family was heading.

Maybe you’ve felt the same way…

I’ve talked to many of you who are currently in that exact same spot. You want to make the right financial decisions for your family, but you feel overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done and you’re not sure how to do it right.

I’ve also talked to many of you who have already made a lot of the “right” financial moves, but you’re still not sure how it all fits together and whether you’re on the right track for what YOU want out of life.

No matter what stage you’re in, I know that you want to feel confident about the financial path you’re on so that you can stop worrying about money, start building a better future, and get back to the things you actually enjoy.

I’ve learned a lot about how to do just that over the past four years. Some of it I had to learn for myself through trial and error as I made decisions for my own family. Some of it I was fortunate to learn from others who were kind enough to share their expertise. And some of it I’m still learning as my own family grows and as I work with clients who ask me new and interesting questions every single day.

I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. What’s important and what isn’t. How to take control of your financial situation and start using your money to create a life you enjoy.

And today I’m excited to offer you a new resource that combines everything I’ve learned into one step-by-step guide designed to help you make the right financial decisions for you and your family.

10 Weeks to a Better Financial Future

Today I’m opening up my new course, 10 Weeks to a Better Financial Future.

This course combines all the most important lessons I’ve learned as a new parent myself trying to make the best decisions for my family, with all of the most common issues I see as a financial planner helping other new parents make the right decisions for their families.

All of that experience is distilled into one 10-week course that shows you how to get your personal financial plan on the right track.

Each week’s lesson focuses on a single topic, from setting and prioritizing your financial goals, to creating a system for managing your money, to building savings, buying insurance, paying off debt, and investing for the future.

And in each lesson you not only learn why that topic is important and how it fits into your overall financial plan, but you get step-by-step instructions for getting it done.

This isn’t generic, fluffy financial information that leaves you with more questions to answer on your own. This is specific, actionable, start-to-finish advice that tells you exactly what you need and how to get it.

By the end of this course, you’ll have a financial plan you believe in. One that not only handles your needs today so you can stop worrying about money, but also builds towards a future that excites you.
