A Message to My Readers

Message to My Readers

I started Mom and Dad Money back in January of 2013 with a single mission.

I knew how hard and stressful it was for me to manage all the new financial responsibilities that came with starting my family and I wanted to make it as easy as possible for other new parents to handle that transition themselves and build a strong financial foundation for their growing families.

That was my mission from Day 1. And to be honest, it still is my primary mission.

But since then, Mom and Dad Money has turned into a business and now it’s my full-time job. The money I make from working with clients, selling books, and the like is what puts food on the table for my family.

It’s been an exciting transition. I LOVE that I’m working to support my family doing work I love and helping people along the way. Honestly, it’s my dream job.

But I feel like sometimes the desire to grow the business clouds the real message of what Mom and Dad Money is all about. Sometimes that primary mission, the one that’s dedicated to helping YOU build a better financial future, can get just a little bit lost in the pursuit of a bigger, better business.

I was thinking about this the other day as I was driving home from a couple of conferences. I was in my car for 9 hours, all by myself, excited by all of the positive energy I had absorbed over the previous few days.

I felt deeply connected to my primary mission. I couldn’t wait to get back home and get back to work helping you improve your financial situation.

And I recorded a little note for you restating EXACTLY what it is I’m trying to do here and how I want to help you out. It’s just a few minutes long and I think you’ll like it.

Here it is:

As I say at the end of that note, if there is ANYTHING at all that’s on your mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for help. I love hearing from you and I’m always happy to lend a hand where I can.

You can email me directly at matt@momanddadmoney.com. You can use the Contact link in the top left corner of the website. You can tweet me. Or Facebook me. Or leave a comment below. Whatever’s easiest for you.

Just know that you’re not alone. Whether you’re just starting out and aren’t sure how to take the first step, or you’ve already made a lot of good decisions and want to know what’s next, I’m here to help.

That’s my mission here at Mom and Dad Money. And that’s what it always will be.

Thanks for being along for the ride!

Start building a better financial future with the resource I wish I had when I was starting my family. It’s free!

Thanks for posting this, Matt! You’ve long been a favorite financial blogger of mine precisely because of the care you put into everything you do. The work you share is (and will always be) hugely important and I feel so fortunate to watch Mom and Dad Money grow in any direction.
